Five Chinese nationals kidnapped in Congo (DRC) successfully rescued

The five Chinese citizens kidnapped in Congo (DRC) on November 21, 2021 were successfully rescued on June 6 and are currently in good health. It is reported that the five Chinese nationals were kidnapped by unidentified armed men in the early morning of November 21, 2021 at a mining company camp in South Kivu, Congo.
After the kidnapping incident, Chinese embassy in Congo (DRC) and overseas Chinese organizations in Congo, such as Overseas Chinese Federation and Peaceful Reunification Promotion Association, were concerned about the kidnapped Chinese citizens and carried out rescue through various channels.
